TEAM ROSTER | TEAM SCHEDULE

The 17U season is the “Senior” year in the Ruffnecks program.  The 17U roster is comprised largely of players entering their senior year in high school.  The “Senior” roster features an experienced lineup.  The infield features veterans Garrett Falahee and Devin Constantino (Yale commit).  At 1B, Bear Adams returns to provide solid defense and a power bat.  His return is welcome after a season ending injury a year ago.  Andrew Plante and Bubba Bryan return as catchers.  The outfield is patrolled by Matthew Pazak, Nick O’Neil, and the versatility of others such as Bryan and Plante.

The pitching staff is coached by Ace Adams.  Ace’s track record is attested to by many professional pitchers throughout his storied career in Major League Baseball.  The Ruffnecks are fortunate to have his knowledge, humor, and insight.  The staff is led by 2026 Bowdoin-bound Nuriel Gutman, whose age eligibility permits him to return.  Nuri brings experience and leadership to the staff.  Prospects Tucker Bliss, Sam Carbeau, Angus McKenna, Kaden McNiece, O’Neil, and Leo Sacerdote figure in the pitching plans.  Several other position players add depth to the staff, including Garrett Falahee Matthew Pazak.  For most players, the Ruffnecks  17U season leads to a college commitment sometime prior to the end of the senior year in high school.  Some pursue a post-graduate year at prep schools.  The college recruiting journey is a process that requires consistent support.  The Ruffnecks provide that support during the off season and throughout the summer.

There will be additions to the 2026 roster as summer approaches.  Nevertheless, the formula remains the same:  Approximately 13-14 positional players comprise the batting lineup.  The remainder of the roster features pitchers who focus their summer efforts entirely as pitchers.  All get plenty of work.  The coaching staff works and manages the schedule (particularly the pitching schedule) with a professional approach.  There are up to four full-time coaches who work with the 17U roster.  Among them is a dedicated, professional, pitching coach in Ace Adams.  He is accompanied by a staff that includes former professional scout, John Brickley, who has been with the program for 13 years.  Former 17U manager Kevin Casey has departed for Division I Northeastern University.  The 17U team, more than any other in the Ruffnecks program, is collegiate in its approach and execution.  Stamina and focus are in high demand.
