The Pro Scout Hitting Clinics are run by Major League scouts and supervised by Matt Hyde (NY Yankees). We offer Clinics in November and December 2022. The first two clinics are single-day events. The mid-week, Christmas Vacation Week (December 27-28) is a two-day event. These are intensive, instructive, high repetition clinics designed for serious hitters. Limited Open Registrations may be available to non-Ruffnecks by inquiry and invitation only. Inquiries may be made by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org. Or call (781) 400-1959. The Mid-December Clinic is a one-day event.
Registration deadline is Monday, December 12 (or until full).
Players should be available for either time slot.
Ruffnecks apparel is required. Cap and tee.
Gray baseball pants or Ruffnecks sweats or Ruffnecks shorts.
Registrations are on a first come, first served basis. A limited number of registrations may be open to non-roster Ruffnecks. Full payment must accompany registration forms to secure a place in the clinic. Fees are used to cover the cost of instructors and to support funding for the Ruffnecks Hitting Facility.
Each date offers two sessions. Players are assigned to Session 1 (8:30am to 10:00) or Session 2 (10:30am to Noon). Registration is limited to 12-14 participants per session.
The Two-Day Pro Scout Hitting clinic includes video and video analysis of each player.
The Christmas Week Clinic is a TWO-DAY Event. Players should be prepared to hit back-to-back days. The clinic is intended to address Christmas Break “Cabin Fever!”
Ruffnecks clinics are prioritized for current Ruffnecks. They are optional. Clinics provide opportunities to experience intensive, instructional, sessions with Professional scouts, and some college coaches who work hands-on with hitters in small station work. Drill work is based on professional routines. Players participate in a session that is blocked for 90 minutes. Activity is intensive and focused on station work and high repetitions. Players may develop blisters if their hands are not already calloused. Specific details of the clinic follow:
There are two Session each day. Groups, A & B. Within each Session Group there are multiple hitting stations (up to 4). Hitting Group Assignments are made and communicated in advance. Assignments are subject to change and adjustments. Details follow:
Other clinics may be offered from time to time. Ruffnecks clinics are offered to current Ruffnecks players before any spots are allocated to Open Registration.
