Clinic Structure:

Ruffnecks clinics are prioritized for current Ruffnecks.  They are optional.  Clinics provide opportunities to experience intensive, instructional, sessions with Professional scouts, and some college coaches who work hands-on with hitters in small station work.  Drill work is based on professional routines.  Players participate in a session that is blocked for 90 minutes.  Activity is intensive and focused on station work and high repetitions.  Players may develop blisters if their hands are not already calloused.  Specific details of the clinic follow:

  • Instruction is directly with professional scouts and instructors.
  • College coaches may attend all or part of the sessions based on NCAA regulations.
  • Station Work: Each day there are three to four stations (3-4 players per station).
  • Players must use WOOD BATS.
  • Video may be used.
  • Players should arrive no sooner than 15 minutes prior to the start of each session.  Be on time.

Groups and Assignments:

There are two Session each day.  Groups, A & B.  Within each Session Group there are multiple hitting stations (up to 4).  Hitting Group Assignments are made and communicated in advance.  Assignments are subject to change and adjustments.  Details follow:

  • Assignments posted week prior to sessions
  • Group A (8:30am to 10:00)
  • Group B (10:30am to 12:00)
  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your assigned time.
  • Players MUST be in Ruffnecks apparel.  Wood Bats.  Bring your helmet.

Other clinics may be offered from time to time.  Ruffnecks clinics are offered to current Ruffnecks players before any spots are allocated to Open Registration.
