The Summer of 2025 presents a busy schedule for all five Ruffnecks teams. The travel and tournament schedules for the older teams (15U, 16U, 17U) is particularly intensive with as many as 40-50 games in 60 days. 2025 Travel takes Ruffneck teams to New Jersey, Nashville, TN, Marietta, Georgia, and Cincinnati, Ohio. Participation in numerous New England Region events complement the travel schedule. Summers are demanding and exhilarating for Ruffnecks players and teams.
All teams practice during the summer. We do not just play tournaments. Outdoor Practices are held at Roxbury Latin, while the Facility provides an indoor venue for team hitting sessions and independent work. General Facility hours are 10:00 to 5:00 weekdays,
Both the 15u and 17u Ruffnecks squads traveled to Nashville, TN for the Music City Classic. The 15u Ruffnecks demonstrated continued growth and development going 4-1 in the event. The offense was led by Jack Fiengo, Nathan Bills, and Liam Eder-Linell (he homered). Defensively the squad played very well.
The 17u Ruffnecks went 2-2-1 in the event against some excellent competition. Ryan Ruggiero leads the offense in hitting. Nuri Gutman continues to pitch outstanding baseball for the Ruffnecks.
The 16u Ruffnecks traveled to Georgia for the 17u Perfect Game WWBA National Championships. The team was challenged against several talented opponents. Although the record was 1-4, the team gained important experience and development. The Ruffnecks were led offensively by Logan Katz and Andrew Plante.
All three of the older Ruffnecks participate in the Boston Classic July 6-9. The event is an opportunity for players in the classes of 2026, 2027, and 2028 to play in front of numerous college recruiters.
