Weekly Plans & Announcements

The 2024 Ruffnecks Fall Program provides weekly opportunities for returning players, new candidates, and non-Ruffnecks players to workout, play, and learn together.  All Fall sessions are on weekends.  Most are on Sundays.  The home base for activity is the New England Baseball Complex (NEBC) in Northborough.  This page provides a reference for weekly assignments, activity, and announcements.

13u Ruffnecks Fall Program

On Sunday, October 20th, the 13u Ruffnecks Fall Program will hold its “World Series.”  The program’s activities culminate in a session-long series of mini-games.  The teams are evenly divided.  Starting pitching for each inning is planned.  Relievers are designated.  Each mini-game is 2 innings with one extra inning available, played by tie-breaker rules.

13U Fall Baseball: Week #6 Assignments (Updated Thursday, Oct. 17th)

Assignments are listed alphabetically.  There are two TEAMS for Week #6.  Please be sure you plan to attend.  Each game and inning is carefully planned for lineups, substitutes, pitching, and relievers.  Both teams will bat through the order (batting order to be posted).  Please review the Key to assignments provided below

The Key to reading assignments follows:
  • X = Not attending
  • Pos 1 = Primary Position
  • Pos 2 = Secondary Position
  • Pitch Inning Column:
    • P-Gm 1, 2, or 3 = Pitcher will start either Inning 1 or Inning 2 of Game 1, 2, or 3
    • Pitch-Relief = Player will be available in relief for that designated Game.  Player’s role for that game is as “Reliever.”
  • TEAM = 1, 2
  • Game 1 = Is provided for illustration purposes.  We have built lineups for all three games.  If the player is not assigned to a defensive position in Game 1, he is assigned to a position for Game 2.  We will substitute as needed.

HS Wood Bat & College Prep Programs

We conduct our HS Wood Bat and College Prep programs in a weekly Red v. Blue format.  Roll Calls are usually sent on Sunday evenings after the weekly workout.  Responses are due by Monday or Tuesday.  We encourage players to be available for multiple sessions.  If there are non-negotiable time constraints, please let us know.  Most activity is at the New Engalnd Baseball Complex (NEBC).  Some activity may be located at The Roxbury Latin School in West Roxbury.  Sessions may include games vs. non-Ruffnecks opponents.  HS Wood Bat and College Prep participants may intermix at times.  We consider competitive parity and instructional objectives on a weekly basis.
